Christopher McCleary

Christopher William McCleary, 38 formally of Union Beach, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021

   Chris was born in Canonsburg, PA then moved to NJ in his early childhood. Chris was a skilled welder and the father of 2 children, Christopher age 18, and Gianna age 6 whom he adored and treasured more than anything else in the world. He  viewed his children as his “greatest accomplishment”

   Chris  was pre-deceased by his parents, Randy and Grace McCleary and grandparents, William and Stella Karchella also of Canonsburg, PA.  In addition to his children Chris leaves behind a brother Jay, a host of family in NJ, VA and PA and many close friends to cherish his memory.

   Chris attended Keyport High School where he played football and wrestled for the school teams. He was an “over the top”  Pittsburgh Steelers fan from birth. Chris was the “loudest one in the room” and his presence never went unnoticed. He was    a kind, loving person and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He will be missed by many.

   Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation memorial for Chris on Monday September 27, 2021 from 6-8 PM at Day Funeral Home 361 Maple Place Keyport, New Jersey 07735.
