Christine Araco, 66, of Cliffwood Beach, NJ passed away Wednesday, January 24th, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank.
She was happily married to her beloved husband, Marcello, for 32 years. Christine was born in Elizabeth, NJ on April 29, 1957 - a daughter of the late Mary Ellen and Harold Hauss.
She was a devout Catholic and communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Parish Keyport, NJ where she sang in the choir at church and volunteered for St. Vincent DePaul Society. Christine adored dogs of all kinds. She was a volunteer for 3 Hearts 4 Paws animal rescue, fostering and caring for many dogs over the past several years. She also worked as a receptionist for Dr. Pavuluri's office in Hazlet.
Christine loved to sing and did so quite frequently, at karaoke with her many friends and on stage with her son’s band! She often attended Country music concerts and festivals with friends. She delighted in watching the New Jersey Devils and her favorite player, Jack Hughes, with her family. Christine enjoyed designing hand-crafted jewelry and specialized in custom rosaries.
Christine loved her circle of family and friends deeply. She is now happily reunited with her predeceased parents, Harold and Mary Ellen Hauss, and son David Treger. She is survived by her devoted husband Marcello, her cherished son Nico, loving sisters Lisa Hauss and Lynn Hauss and her 7 nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 2 PM to 4 PM and 7 PM to 9 PM on Monday, January 29th at Day Funeral Home in Keyport, New Jersey.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, January 30th, at Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Keyport, NJ at 10am. Cremation will be private.
