Charles "Jazz" G. Conrad, 84, of Aberdeen, NJ passed away Wednesday, May 11th, at home with his family by his side.
He was the husband of Josephine (Cahill) Conrad.
Charles was born in NY, NY on May 27, 1937, a son of the late Mary (Leehan) and Joseph Conrad and later moved to Aberdeen, NJ
He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War and then went on to become a Plant Operator at Bayshore Regional Sewage Authority in Union Beach.
Charles was a very happy person and loved to tell jokes with family and friends. He was an avid bowler at Airport Plaza bowling Leagues and enjoyed playing bingo.
Charles is predeceased by his parents and siblings Richie, Joseph, Margaret and Geraldine. He is survived by his loving wife Josephine, cherished children Charles and his wife Renee, Donna D'Alessio and her husband John, Mary Craver and her husband Tom, Joseph and his wife Monica, Matthew and his wife Mary and Roseann Antczak and her husband Michael. Also left behind are his siblings Gloria Gruettner, Dolores Walsh, Christopher and George, devoted grandchildren Jacey, Paige, Emma, Emily, Jill, Michael, Glenn, Katlyn, Matthew, Lydia, Joseph, Darnell and James and great grandchildren Austin, Peyton and Raelyn.
Visitation will be held 1 PM to 4 PM on Saturday, May 14th at Day Funeral Home in Keyport, New Jersey. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
