Bernice V. McGrath Weir

   Bernice V. McGrath Weir, 87 of Keyport, passed away Saturday November 27, 2021 at Bayside Manor of Keansburg.

   She was born in Brooklyn, New York to the late Edward F. McGrath and Anne (Smith) McGrath.

   Bernice was also predeceased by her beloved husband Robert E. Weir and siblings Edward and Richard McGrath and Roseann Bowen, Regina McClenin and Grace Renz.

   Bernice is survived by her loving children Maryellen Weir Vega of Keyport, Robert E. Weir Jr. of Jackson, Kathleen Vaturia and her husband John of Medford and Barbara Balog and her husband Perry of Howell; cherished grandchildren Lara, Morgan, Robert Eric, Justin, Patrick, Connor, Erica, Zachary, Stephen and Michael and one dear great-grandchild Lyla Rose.

   For 18 years Bernice worked as a secretary for Paul's Trucking Company of Port Reading, New Jersey, retiring in 1996.

   Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation for Bernice on Tuesday November 30, 2021 at Day Funeral Home 361 Maple Place Keyport, New Jersey 07735 from 6-9PM and again on Wednesday December 1, 2021 9:15AM at the funeral home for a 10AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph's Church of Keyport.

   Burial will follow in Saint Peter and Paul Cemetery of New Brunswick.
