Arthur J. Complitano Sr.

   Arthur J. Complitano Sr., 87, of Cliffwood Beach passed away Tuesday September 13, 2022 at Bayshore Community Hospital of Holmdel.

   He was born to the late Pasquale Complitano and Amelia (Dambola) Complitano in Newark, New Jersey October 5, 1934.

   Arthur was the son of Italian immigrants.  His father Pasquale immigrated to the United States from Naples, Italy, and would come to Washington D.C. where he would meet his wife Amelia. They would soon Wed and settle in Belleville, New Jersey after which they would have children.

  For many years Arthur would help out with the family business driving trucks for Pat and Dom Truck Co.  When he moved to Cliffwood Beach, he would come to work as Building Superintendent of the Ken Gardens Apartments of Cliffwood, where he worked for thirty years.

   Arthur Proudly served his Country in the United States Army National Guard during peacetime from 1957 to 1960.  Drafted in 1957, he went in for a six month enlistment, training at Fort Dix, New Jersey later being stationed at Fort Tilden in Brooklyn, where he operated as an Officer's Mesh Cook.  For the remainder of his time he was released to the National Guard of New Jersey where he would complete the remainder of his enlistment, 5 years, 4 months and 11 Days.

  He was also predeceased by a beloved wife Sharron (Brand) Complitano, a son John Hickman; siblings Dominick, Nove, Pasquale, Anthony and Albert Complitano, Jean Bowden, Rosemarie Sorice and Husband Richard, sister-in-laws Gemma, Andrea and Terry Complitano, Phyllis Brand and brother-in-law Gary Brand, and brother-in-laws Bob Bowden and Stanley Gerns.

  Arthur leaves behind his beloved children Arthur Complitano also of Cliffwood Beach, Dawn Smith and her husband Thomas of Cliffwood Beach; loving grandchildren Kayla Complitano, Cheyenne Margeotes, Mariah Margeotes, Jaxson Margeotes and Courtney Smith ; siblings Vincent Complitano and his wife Madeline and Concelia T. Gerns, a sister-in-law Denise Complitano; and many nieces and nephews.

  At the request of his family, Arthur will be privately cremated.

  Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation for Arthur on Saturday September 17, 2022 from 2-4PM at Day Funeral Home 361 Maple Place Keyport, New Jersey 07735. At that time a funeral service will be held at 3PM at the funeral home.
