Anthony V Gentile

  Anthony V. Gentile, 62 of Matawan, formerly of Michigan, Illinois, and Scotch Plains, NJ passed away at home, Thursday, October 7, 2021.  He was a Customer Service Manager for PSE&G in Newark.

  Anthony is predeceased by his parents; Frank and Santina Gentile and his wife Lisa.  He is survived by his adoring girlfriend; Susan Leonardo of Old Bridge, her children, Thomas of Staten Island, Jennifer of Old Bridge, and his loving siblings; Eugene Gentile and wife Pamela of Princeton Junction, Frank Gentile and wife Yvonne of Kansas City, KS, Conradine Guthrie (nee Gentile) and husband Wayne of Gloucester, NC., and Dean Gentile of Long Branch. Tony left behind many nieces and nephews, Alyssa (nee Gentile) and Paul Salvesen of Shrewsbury, Dominque Blanchard, John Blanchard of Kansas City, KS, Cassandra and Nadine Guthrie of Raleigh, NC, Elijah and Antonio Gentile of Long Branch, and identical twin great-nephews, Zac and Beau of Shrewsbury. Tony was a lover of animals and served his community through numerous blood and platelet drives.

  At the request of the family, Anthony will be privately cremated.

  In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the charity of your choice.

A memorial visitation  will be held Thursday, October 21, 2021 9-9:45AM at Day Funeral Home (Keyport) and will be followed by a memorial mass at St Joseph's RC Church at 10AM,  located at 376 Maple Place Keyport, New Jersey 07735.
