Anthony M. Falco, Sr, “Hook”, 91, of Union Beach, NJ passed away Tuesday, April 13th, at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune surrounded by his beloved family.
Anthony was born in Matawan, NJ on February 25, 1930, a son of the late Louise and Carmen Falco. He served as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army during the Korean War where he completed 25 jumps 1 being combat. He was a proud member of the Rakkasans 187th airborne division. Anthony worked at RJ Longo Construction Denville, NJ for many years as well as Ace Manzo Inc for 26 years. He was an avid Yankee fan who loved to watch a good ball game. He also enjoyed hanging out at the sandpit with all the truckers.
Anthony is predeceased by his parents and 15 siblings. He is survived by his cherished wife of almost 65 years,Jane. His loving children Joanne Hanlon (Paul), Anthony Jr. (Deborah)and Andrew (Angela) Falco. He leaves behind his 4 adored grandchildren Paul,Janelle (Mark), Kristina, and Dominick. He also leaves behind his great granddaughter his beloved “doll baby” Aubree. He will also be missed by Layla. His smile was infectious and the memories held by everyone who knew him will be cherished forever.
Visitation will be held 3 PM to 7 PM on Thursday, April 15th at Day Funeral Home and again visitation will be held 9 AM to 9:45 AM on Friday, April 16th at Day Funeral Home in Keyport, New Jersey. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 AM on Friday, April 16th at Holy Family RC Church in Union Beach, NJ.
