Anna Maria Springvloed 92, of Matawan, passed on February 14, 2020. She was born and raised in New York City, predeceased by her husband Arnoldus, parents Carmello and Giovanna, granddaughter Dawna Springvloed, and siblings: Emanual, Frank, Louis, Joseph, Samuel, Eleanor, Angela, and Mary. Anna worked at Bellcore Technologies Accounting Department for many years before retiring in 1992.
Anna is survived by her 3 children Corneilus, Johanna and her husband Malcolm and Arnold. She was the loving grandmother to Cornelius, Vincent, Christian, Jason, Neil, Erik, and Aren; as well as to her great-grandchildren Taylor, Michael, Tanya, Avery, Emma, Isabella, Alexander, Joshua, and Megan.
Anna was a member and volunteer of the Silver Linings Senior Citizens group in Old Bridge. She was casted in key roles as an actress, dancer and singer in several of their performances. She was known to them as “the best cake cutter ever”! Anna also was an active member of the German American club in Naples, Florida.
Anna was loved by many and touched the hearts of all. She will be truly missed.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, 8:00 at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, followed by a 9:00 mass of Christian Burial at St. Stanislaus Kostka RC Church, Sayreville. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Keyport. Relatives and friends may attend the viewing at the funeral home on Monday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
