Virginia L. Mignone-Vena

Virginia L. Mignone-Vena, 84, of Aberdeen, passed away Wednesday December 5, 2018 at home. Born in Virginia, she lived most of her life in Aberdeen.  Virginia was a Claims Administrator for Dicksteins Associates Agency in Matawan for approximately 35 years, retiring approximately 15 years ago. She was a great cook, enjoyed bowling, fishing, and crocheting.
Virginia leaves behind her companion James Vena of Aberdeen, loving daughter Michele Mayer and her husband Michael of New York; cherished grandchildren: Michael and his wife Taryn, Paige, Dean, and Brian; adored great-grandchildren Elle and Anne.  She also leaves behind a daughter-in-law Susan Mignone-Tendler. 
Virginia is predeceased by her loving son, Michael in 1986, and her sisters, Priscilla and Marjorie. Virginia will be fondly remembered, and always in our hearts. 
Relatives and friends are invited Sunday, December 9, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm and Monday, December 10, 2018, 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport NJ, 07735.  A service will be offered Monday 10:30 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery of Middletown. A reception will be held after the funeral, at Aberdeen Hose and Chemical Company #1, located at the corner of Lloyd Road and Church Street.
