Usman Mirza Baig

Usman Mirza Baig, 72, of Holmdel, passed away Saturday March 25, 2017 at the Bayshore Community Hospital of Holmdel, New Jersey.

Usman was predeceased by his parents Mirza Hassan Ali Baig and Raisa (Khanam) Baig, his brothers Mohammed Rizwan Baig and Mohammed Irfaan Baig.

He was survived by his loving wife Ermelinda (Fernandez) Baig, a son Jamil Mirza Baig of Delran and a daughter Yasmin Mable Baig and her husband Jeremiah Kramer of Hamilton.

Usman also leaves behind three beloved grandchildren Alexander, Colby, and Adam Kramer; as well as three sisters Nusrat Subhani, Nuzhat Habibullah and Farhat Siddiqui.

Usman received a Master’s Degree in Oceanic Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and worked as an Engineer for 50 years, retiring in 2008 from the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

Usman was a parishioner of St. Benedict Catholic Church of Holmdel, loved being with family, walking in the park and writing.

Day Funeral Home of Keyport was entrusted with the arrangements for Mr. Baig.

Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass for Usman on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 10am at St Benedict Catholic Church, 165 Bethany Rd. Holmdel, New Jersey 07733.  Entombment will follow in Holmdel Mausoleum of Holmdel.
