Thomas Marotta

Gaetano "Thomas" Marotta, age 100, of Orange City, Florida, formerly of Keyport, New Jersey, peacefully passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at home. Thomas was born on May 26, 1919 to Theresa and Antonio Marotta in Keyport, New Jersey. He was a proud Navy veteran who selflessly served our country during WWII. Thomas worked as a chemical operator for Merck in Rahway, New Jersey. Thomas was also a 50 year, lifelong, member of the Union Beach Fire Department. He was a loving husband, father, uncle, and friend. Thomas now rejoins his beloved wife, Helen Marrotta in eternal rest.
He is survived by his loving son, Thomas Marotta Jr. and his wife Carol of Debary, FL; and his cherished nephew, Ted Trembley and his wife, Joey of Jupiter, FL; and his five grandchildren. Thomas will be dearly missed and always in our hearts.
Visitation will be Sunday July 28, 2019 from 3-6pm at the funeral home and funeral home service will be Monday July 29, 2019 at 10am. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Keyport.
