Theresa Bress, 88, of Matawan, peacefully passed away, Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Bayshore Health Center, in Holmdel. Born in New York City, and residing in Staten Island, NY, where she worked as a Bakery Manager for Buda Bakers, then living in Matawan, NJ for over 20 years. Mrs. Bress was in charge of running operations for the St. Lawrence Food Bank for ten years. She was also a member of Catholic Daughters. She was predeceased by her husband Robert (2003); her parents James and Elizabeth (Flynn) McNamee; son Thomas; siblings Patrick, James, Thomas, Helen and Margaret; and her grandson, Scott Smith. She is survived by her loving children, Kevin Bress and his wife Barbara of Old Bridge; Robert Bress and his wife Lisa of Connecticut; and Terrie Smith and her husband James of Old Bridge; her siblings, Eileen Carregal of PA; Catherine Heintz of NY; and Barney McNamee of NJ; her cherished grandchildren Robert Bress and his wife Anne Marie; Danielle and her husband John Zoldak; Keith, Kerri, and Jillian Bress; and Jimmy, Patrick and Brandon Smith; and her precious great-grandchildren; Lucas and Ethan Zoldak; and Robert, Kirsten and Dylan Bress. Mrs. Bress will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, April 10, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Day Funeral home in Keyport NJ, 07735; Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at 8AM on Wednesday followed by a 9am Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at St. Lawrence Church in Laurence Harbor. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Keyport.
