Susan J. (Sargeant) Jucciarone

Susan Joan (Sargeant) Jucciarone, 65, of Old Bridge, lost her courageous battle with cancer, at St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick, on Friday, January 11, 2013.  Born in Bayonne, on March 17, 1947, she was the oldest and only girl with five brothers to the late William and Irene (Kmetz) Sargeant.  She moved from Bayonne to Cliffwood Beach at an early age.  Susan retired in 2011 from Sodexo, as a cook, working at Salk Middle School, Old Bridge.  She had a big smile and a warm personality.  Susan moved to Old Bridge in the 70’s, where she raised three children.  She coached and would never miss her children’s softball, baseball and soccer games.  She enjoyed reading mysteries, TV crime stories and anything in print.  

Including Susan’s parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, William and Ricky.  She is survived by her beloved husband of 47 years, Joseph; her loving daughter, Jody Ann and husband Denny of Galloway Twp.; two loving sons, Joseph W. of Old Bridge; and Jeffrey and wife Jean of Morganville and their son and Susan’s greatest joy, her grandson, Jackson, who brought her the biggest smile when she was with him and really helped her through her tough times; three brothers and their wives, Craig and Diane of Ewing; Herb and Debbie of Old Bridge; and Gary and Phyllis of Pennsylvania; many nieces and nephews; and numerous friends.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
