Rosa (Catapano) Nunziato

Rosa "Rose" Nunziato, 95, of Morganville, NJ passed away Tuesday, January 29th,with the support of Kindred Hospice. Her living journey is now transformed to an eternal journey of peace and we are forever grateful. Rosa was born in San Genaro, Italy on August 16, 1923. She grew up on a farm; and she continued her passion and talent for farm to table Italian cuisine throughout her life. Upon moving to the United States she lived in Matawan for many years with her loving husband Andrew and two children. Rosa was a family oriented woman who cherished cooking meals from her bountiful garden and was the most happy with time spent with family. She sacrificed and maintained the highest level of integrity when caring for her family. Family was everything to her! She was the widow of Andrew  Nunziato.

Rosa is survived by her loving son,John Nunziato and his wife Debra, of Point Pleasant, NJ; her brother, Antonio Catapano, niece Maria Giulia and nephew Alessandro of Rome, Italy. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Viki Kostas and her husband George, Rosanna Panagakos, Katie-Rose Nunziato, Joseph Brizzolara and great grandchildren Peter and Nicholas Kostas. She was predeceased by her husband Andrew and daughter Anna Marie Panagakos. Rosa will be dearly missed, and always in our hearts. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 1, 2019 at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Keyport, NJ. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, NJ. To leave a message of sympathy, please visit, www.dayfuneralhome.com
