Robert L. Pattison

Robert L. Pattison, 81, of Aberdeen, passed away, Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank.  He was born in East Orange.  He retired in 1987, after 30 years of service as a truck driver with Hostess, Woodbridge.  He served his country in the U.S. Navy.  Robert was a communicant of Holy Family RC Church, Union Beach.  He was self-sufficient and instilled this in his children.  He enjoyed gardening and his black and white cat, Baby. 

Robert was predeceased by his beloved wife, Florence (Rawlins) Pattison, in 2017; a son, Kirk E. Pattison; his parents, Boyle and Louie (Park) Pattison; and his brother, Thomas Pattison.  He is survived by his loving children, Robert W. Pattison and his wife Marie C. of Aberdeen; Sheila Balaram and her husband Steve of Aberdeen; Donna of North Carolina; and Patricia Idreos and her husband Mike of Hamilton; six cherished grandchildren; and three precious great grandchildren.  He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, January 7, 2018, from 2-4 & 7-9PM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735; and Monday, January 8, 2018, 8:30AM, at the funeral home, with a 9:30AM Funeral Mass at Holy Family RC Church, Union Beach.  Interment will follow at Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet.  To post a condolence to the family or for directions to the funeral home, please visit www.dayfuneralhome.com.
