Robert A. Mara

 Robert A. Mara, 56, of Freehold, NJ passed away Monday, September 16th, at CentraState Hospital, Freehold. Robert was born in Queens, NY on January 9, 1963. Robert lived in Cliffwood Beach, Keyport and Point Pleasant before moving to Freehold Township 3 years ago. He is an Operations Manager at Milanos Cheese ,Linden, NJ. Robert loved the Mets, Jets and going to the track. He also was a long time CJUA umpire and it was a great passion of his.
Robert is predeceased by his mother Elizabeth Bowman Maraszkiewicz .He is survived by his father Raymond, wife Susan and step Mother Margaret Mara. He also leaves behind his loving children; son Robert, daughter Olivia and her husband Peter Strong Jr. and cherished siblings; Edward(Christie), Kenneth, (Karen),Raymond (Joanie),Louann Carr (Bill), Danielle Mara-Auriemma and Glynis Castaneda(Adam). He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, whom he adored.
Visitation will be held 4 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday, September 18th at Day Funeral Home  361 Maple Place Keyport, New Jersey and again on Thursday, September 19th  8:30 am at Day Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 9:30 am at St. Joseph's RCC, Keyport. Entombment will be at Holmdel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers Robert's family is asking for donations to the Lustgarten Foundation in his name.
