Robert J. Dillon

Robert J. Dillon, 79, of Jackson, passed away, Friday, July 14, 2017, at Fountain View Care Center, Lakewood.  Born in Brooklyn, he grew up and resided there prior to settling in Jackson.  He was a commercial bus and truck driver retiring in 1998.  Robert was extremely family oriented; he had a heart of gold; very giving, dignified, yet very strong; a quick sense of humor, but a man of very little words.

Robert was predeceased by his beloved wife, Sandee (Schick) Dillon in 1992; his parents, William and Mary (Gregory) Dillon; a son, Rory Dillon; and his siblings, Billy Dillon, Mary Sweeney, Eleanor Vender and Kay Brynes.  He is survived by his sons, Mark Dillon of Staten Island; Brian Dillon and his wife Maria of Morganville; and Lance Dillon and his wife Theresa of Brooklyn, NY; and six cherished grandchildren, Andrew, Victoria, Jessica, Sky, Noah and Ariana.  He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, July 16, 2017, from 2-4PM & 7-9PM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735; and Monday, July 17, 2017,  9 AM at the funeral home with a 10 AM funeral mass at St. Gabriel’s Historic Church, Marlboro.
