Robert C. Ciecierski Sr.

Robert C. Ciecierski Sr., age 72, of Keyport, peacefully passed away on Saturday, Decemeber 15, 2018 at Bayshore Community Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Red Bank, NJ on November 2, 1946 to Casimir W. and Valera (Fitzgerald) Ciecierski. Robert was a proud Army veteran, he also was a computer programmer for NJ Turnpike upon his retirement in 2007. Robert served his community as well, becoming a life member of Keyport Volunteer Fire Co. and Raritan Hose Co. #2 for 40 years. He was involved in the Alumni Association for Christian Brothers Academy of Lincroft; and he was a softball coach for Beep-Ball. Robert also enjoyed bowling, and he was a past President of Monmouth County Bowling Association. Robert was kind, big-hearted, gentle, and he was affectionately  known as "Bear".
He is survived by his beloved wife of 14 years, Deborah (Wingler) Ciecierski of Keyport, NJ; his two devoted sons: Michael Ciecierski and his wife Donna of Old Bridge, NJ; Robert Ciecierski Jr. and his wife Michelle of Keyport, NJ; his two loving step-sons: Brian Wingler of Cliffwood, NJ; Thomas Spratford and his wife Elizabeth of Old Bridge, NJ; and his seven cherished grandchildren: Aristea, Gracelynn, Matthew, Emily, Nicholas, Matthew, and Jessica. Robert will be dearly missed, and always in our hearts.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 2-4PM and 7-9PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ 07735. Relatives and friends are asked to be at the funeral home by 9:15AM prior to a 10AM Mass of Christian Burial which will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at St. Joseph's RC Church. Burial will follow mass at St. Joseph's Cemetery of Keyport, NJ.
