Raymond S. Korkowski, 88, of Keyport, NJ passed away Sunday, December 29th, at Bayshore Health Care, Holmdel.
He was the widower of Maryalice Korkowski who passed away in 2013. Raymond was born in Carteret, NJ on July 1,1931, a son of the late Jennie and Anthony Korkowski. He proudly served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. Raymond lived in Cliffwood before moving to Keyport. He was the owner of Mil-Cor Inc. a construction company in Laurence Harbor for many years. He was also a code enforcement officer for many of our local towns. Raymond was past Commander of the American Legion in Laurence Harbor, Lifetime member of the NJ State American Legion, Lifetime member of the Hazlet VFW, member of the Disabled American Veterans and also a member of the Happy Days String Band.
Raymond was also predeceased by his son Raymond Jr. and grandson Michael. He is survived by his cherished children Karen Klein, Regina Korkowski, James Korkowski and Sandra Korkowski. Raymond is also survived by his sister Rita Hood and loving grandchildren Nicole, Thomas, Andrew, Patrick, Ryan, Kristen, Maryalice, Victoria and great grandchildren Cody, Lauren, Jillian, Josephine and Michael Ray.
Viewing will be held 2 PM to 4 PM and 7 PM to 9 PM on Friday, January 3rd at Day Funeral Home in Keyport, New Jersey.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 4th 10:30am at Day Funeral Home in Keyport, New Jersey.
Entombment will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Keyport.
