Peter Medwick, 92, of Keyport, passed away Sunday August 4, 2019 at Bayshore Community Hospital of Holmdel. He was predeceased by his parents John and Sophie Medwick; his wife Bernice Medwick; and siblings Anna Urban, Mike, Walter, John, Charles and Steve Medwick. Peter is survived by his sister Mary Urban of Whitting; beloved daughter Nancy Kalieta and her husband Leo of Matawan; grandchildren Lauri O'Leary and her husband Mathew, Thomas Kalieta and his wife Jaceyln; and five great grandchildren Tom Jr., Jay, Sarah, Jack and Kennedy and sister-in-law Doreen Podber.
He was a past member of the Masons and always volunteered his time passing out Christmas gifts to children in the hospital. He enjoyed his cigars and a couple of beers. He loved to go crabbing or fishing and enjoyed eating his catch. Right up until the day he died, he still watched the black and white cowboy shows and complained to everyone that he couldn’t get Lawrence Welk on his TV. He enjoyed his time spent with family especially his great grandchildren. He will be missed by many. As per the wishes of the family, Peter will be privately cremated. A celebration of his life will be held for him on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at St. Clement's Church Banquet Hall of Matawan from 12:00 to 2:00. The address for St. Clement's Church Banquet Hall is 172 Freneau Ave Matawan, NJ 07747.
