Onofrio "Ralph" Lanzo

Onofrio "Ralph" Lanzo, 86, of Union Beach, passed away Sunday October 7, 2018 at Bayshore Community Hospital of Holmdel.  Mono, as he was also known to all who loved him was born in Jersey City and grew up in Hoboken, later moving to Union Beach in the 1970s, calling it home for fifty years.
Ralph worked at Lilly Tulip and Marlboro State Hospital in addition to being a cook and baker throughout his career. He loved going to casinos, fishing, cooking for family and friends, was a member of  the Knights of Columbus St. Joseph's Council #3402 of Keyport, and Lakeland Seniors.
He is predeceased by his parents Nicola Lanzo and Francesca (Catanzaro) Lanzo; long time companion, Barbara Tietz; brothers Vito and Joseph Lanzo, sisters-in-law Clementine and Carolyn Lanzo;  and niece and goddaughter Paula Passenti.
He is survived by his brother Paul Lanzo; sister-in-law Annette Lanzo; his stepchildren Walter and his wife Deb, and their children Kyla and Christopher, Dana and his companion Terry Saracino, and Patricia A. Tietz; a beloved niece, Michele Lanzo and nephew Allan Boyer; and longtime neighbors and friends Charlie and Denise Walpole.  Ralph will be fondly remembered, and always in our hearts. 
A visitation will be held for Ralph on Thursday October 11th  from 4PM to 8PM with a service during the visitation at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place Keyport, New Jersey 07735. 
Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery for burial, Friday October 12th at 11AM for a graveside service at Holy Cross Cemetery of North Arlington, 340 Ridge Road North Arlington, New Jersey 07031 .
Day Funeral Home of Keyport was entrusted with the arrangements.
