Nicholas F. Cogliano, age 96, of Palm Coast, FL, formerly of Hazlet, NJ peacefully passed away, Thursday, February 14, 2019 in Palm Coast, Florida, surrounded by his loving family. Nicholas was born in Keyport, NJ to Carmen and Josephine Cogliano on September 9, 1922. He relocated to Florida 30 years ago upon his retirement. He proudly served his country during WWII in the Army Air Corp. After serving in the military, he worked as a Operating Engineer for Trap Rock Industries in Kingston NJ for many years. Nicholas was a past member of the Keyport VFW. He now rejoins his beloved wife Louise, in eternal rest.
Nicholas was predeceased by his wife Louise (Perno) Cogliano; his son Nicholas Cogliano; his partner, Louise Price; and his brothers: Tony and Carmen Cogliano. He is is survived by his adoring children: Carmen Cogliano and his wife Susan of Freehold,NJ; Dennis Cogliano and his wife Colleen of Pine Beach, NJ; his loving silbings: Albert Cogliano of Keansburg, NJ; Angie Newman of Hazlet, NJ; and Annie Cogliano of Hazlet, NJ; his loving step-children: Judy Gallo of Palm Coast, FL; Jill Zsizsek and her husband Tom of Palm Coast, FL; his seven cherished grandchildren: Tina Stadick, Nicole, Lana Cogliano; Daniel and Alisha Zsizsek; and Helena and Victor Gallo. He also leaves behind his two precious great-grandchildren: Carmine and Sofia Stadick. Nicholas will be dearly missed and always in our hearts.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 from 2-4 & 7-9pm and Thursday 8:30am at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport NJ, 07735. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered thursday, 9:30 am at Holy Family RC Church, Union Beach, NJ, followed by burial at St. Josephs Cemetery, Keyport, NJ.
