Mildred M. Caracciolo, 95, of Matawan, NJ passed away peacefully Friday, July 12th, at her home.
She was the widow of John V. Caracciolo, former teacher and principal at Matawan Regional High School, who died in 1972. Mildred was born in Hopelawn, NJ on May 2, 1924. Mildred lived her entire life in New Jersey and worked as a secretary and bookkeeper at General Cable Corp. and for the Department of the Army.
She is survived by her daughter Janice Ward and her husband Stephen and her sons Anton and his wife Dianne and John Caracciolo. She was the loving grandmother of Stephen, Matthew and David Ward and John R. Caracciolo and Nicole (Caracciolo) Marshall. She was very excited and happy to recently become a great grandmother of Dylan Marshall and Isabella Ward.
Visitation will be held Thursday July 18, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and again Friday 9am at Day Funeral Home 361 Maple Place, Keyport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday 10am at St. Joseph's RCC, Keyport. Interment will be held at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
