Michael W. Lewis, 67, of Cliffwood Beach passed away Friday, October 4, 2019 at Bayshore Hospital with his closest family members by his side. Michael was born on August 28, 1952 in New Brunswick, New Jersey and grew up in Fords, where he graduated from Woodbridge High School in 1970. He retired from ABF Trucking Co. in 2017 and was a proud truck driver and member of Teamsters Local 560. In 1985, he married Marilyn (Milo) Lewis and daughter Theresa Margaret was born in 1988. Michael was passionate about food and cooking, and one of his specialties was his baby back ribs, which were requested at every gathering. He loved crabbing and participated in multiple tournaments over the years. He was an avid NY Giants and NY Yankees fan. Michael was hardworking, dedicated to those closest to him, and was always fun to be around. Michael was predeceased by his mother, Irma (Braz) Lewis. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Marilyn, and proud daughter, Theresa, as well as his father, Chester, brothers Dani (Rick), Stephen, and Chester, sisters Kathleen Henderson, Karen Ivy, and Barbara, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Visitation for Michael will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2019, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ 07735. A funeral Service will be held at 6pm. Cremation and internment will be private.
