Marie H. Artelli, nee Halter, 92, of Matawan passed away Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Villa Marie Claire in Saddle River. Born in Fernandina Beach, FL, then joining her husband Frank she resided in Matawan for the remainder of her life. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Joseph’s RC Church, Keyport and most recently of St. Clements RC Church, Matawan, and member of the Altar Rosary Society. Marie enjoyed spending her time with the St. Clements Seniors, Knights of Columbus St. Josephs Council Auxiliary and the 60 Club of Matawan. She served as a founding member of Bayshore Hospital Auxiliary, Past President of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Matawan, and Past PTA President of St. Joseph’s School. For 23 years she proudly held a leadership position as Distribution Manager at Charles of the Ritz, Holmdel.

Marie is predeceased by her husband Frank Artelli, her parents Benjamin and Eunice (Duncan) Halter, and ten siblings. She is survived by her four loving daughters, Ann Marie Walczak, June Kasun both of Naples, FL. Linda Miller and her husband Richard of Piscataway and Patricia Howland and her husband Michael of Franklin Lakes; eight cherished grandchildren, Sandra, Christopher, Heather, Suzanne, Melissa, Andrew, David and William; seven adored great grandchildren, Francis, Bennett, Tyler, Cameron, Anthony, Addison and Anna; and many loving nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited Wednesday October 4, 2017, 9-11am at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ 07735, followed by a 11:30am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Clements RC Church, Matawan.
