Maria S. (DiFiglia) Antista

Maria Stella Antista (DiFiglia), 85, of Matawan peacefully passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Bayshore Community Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born August 1, 1933 in Sicily, Italy to the late Giuseppe DiFiglia and Agatina (DiAngelo) DiFiglia. Maria came to the United States when she was 38.
Maria was a housewife and homemaker. Family meant everything to her, and she created love that is her family. Simply, she was everything to everyone.
She was predeceased by her parents, two sisters Domenica and Santina and a brother Dominick DiFiglia.
Maria is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years; Cesare Antista of Matawan, NJ; her three adoring children: Tina Ippolito and her husband Rosario of Freehold, NJ; Joseph Antista and his wife Monica of Manchester, NJ; Angela Cagnina and her husband Angelo of Monroe, NJ; her seven cherished grandchildren: Alyssa and Anthony Ippolito; Maria and Cesare Antista; Antoinette Geran; Salvatore and Cesare Cagnina; and her four precious great-grandchildren: Angelo, Salvatore, Alexa, and Jake. Maria will be fondly remembered, and always in our hearts.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday, November 19, 2018 from 4-8PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ, 07735 and on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 , 9:15AM at the funeral home, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM, at St. Jospeh's Church of Keyport.
