Louis M. Grimaldi

Louis M. Grimaldi, 81, of Hazlet, formerly of Laurence Harbor, passed peacefully on Monday, August 19, 2019.   Louis was born on April 7, 1938, and grew up in Matawan working on his parents’ farm before moving to Laurence Harbor to raise his family.  He and his wife Virginia relocated to Manchester Township in the late 90s and after Virgina's death in 2000, he moved back to Hazlet to be near his family.  He worked for many years as a construction worker for the Union Local 472.

Louis was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Elvera Grimaldi; and his wife Virginia Grimaldi.  He is survived by his loving children; Michael and his wife Jo-Ann Grimaldi and Robert Grimaldi; two brothers:  Joseph and his wife Louise Grimaldi and Michael and his wife Catherine Grimaldi and six cherished grandchildren, Louis R. Grimaldi  and wife Carrie; Michael J. Grimaldi, Anthony T. Grimaldi, Victoria M. Grimaldi, Kelly Siano and Kerry Mayerson and husband Justin; 1 great-grandchild, Vincent and many nephews a niece, cousins and friends.  Louis was a very simple man not requiring material things to make him happy.  He will be remembered as a kind spirit with a great sense of humor with everyone enjoying his company.   He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
