Linda Mary (Zimmermann) Brown

Linda Mary Brown (Zimmermann), 66, of Hazlet, passed away Thursday January 17, 2019 at home.
She was born in Jersey City and grew up in  Cliffwood Beach. Linda had a dedicated career serving as a Clerk in the United States Postal service, working at the local Post Office in Lincroft, retiring in 2015. 

Linda is predeceased by her parents Joseph Zimmermann and Rita (Lynch) Zimmermann. Linda is survived by her husband Steve Brown; children Danielle Geiger and her husband Mike of Holmdel, Amanda and Megan  Brown of Hazlet, and her grandchildren Kaitlyn and Johnny Geiger. Linda is also survived by her loving siblings Carole Rinkowski and her husband Bob of Tuckerton, Janet Snyder of Old Bridge, Rose Cantwell and her husband Bruce of Keansburg, Joe Zimmermann and his wife Bella of Jackson, Gary Zimmermann of Cliffwood Beach, Nancy Zimmermann of Old Bridge, Dean Zimmermann of Cliffwood Beach, Robert Zimmermann of Toms River and many nieces and nephews. Above all Linda was dedicated to her family, the Post Office, loved to read and was a big Yankees Fan.

At the request of her Family, Linda will be privately cremated. Following cremation, a memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday January 22, 2019 at Day Funeral Home 361 Maple Place Keyport, New Jersey 07735 from 4PM to 8PM. Friends and relatives are invited to meet at Most Holy Redeemer Church of Old Bridge on Wednesday January 23, 2019 for a 10AM funeral mass.  Entombment of ashes will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital at stjude.org/memorial or by mail to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
