Lenora "MOOSE" Dente

Lenora “MOOSE” Dente, 76, of Keyport, passed away, Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel, surrounded by her family.  Born in Newark, she resided there prior to settling in Keyport.  She worked as a cafeteria aid in the Keyport Central School; with Revlon in Edison and Holmdel; and at the Keyport Fishery, prior to retiring and becoming a homemaker.  She was a lifetime member of the Keyport Hook and Ladder Ladies Auxiliary.  She was a wonderful person and was loved by all.  She welcomed everyone with open arms and had a heart of gold.  She touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing her.  Her family was her greatest treasure.

Lenora was predeceased by her parents, Leonard and Helen (Clark) Nestico.  She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Ronald Dente; her loving children, Anthony Dente and Amy of Throop, PA; Karen Sosnowski and husband Wally of Forest City, PA; Ronnie of Keyport; Susan Dente and Mark of Keyport and Teresa Dente and Rob of Toms River; a brother-in-law, Michael Dente of Cranford; eight cherished grandchildren, Steven, Zack, Ryan, Dylan, Andrew, Austyn, RJ and Rachel; and one precious great grandson, Elijah.  She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.

Visitation will take place on Friday, January 26, 2018, from 5-9PM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735; and Saturday, January 27, 2018, 10:30AM, with an 11AM service at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Keyport.   To post a condolence to the family or for directions to the funeral home, please visit the website www.dayfuneralhome.com.
