Julie M. (Kapushy) Confroy-Clark

Julie “Julia” M. (Kapushy) Confroy-Clark, 94, of Keyport, passed away, Thursday, November 30, 2017, at home.  Born in Carteret, she resided there and Union Beach prior to settling in Keyport in 1942.  She worked 23 years for the Borough of Keyport and retired as the Deputy Tax Collector.  She loved to read to the children at the Keyport Central School and was a member of the St. Clement Seniors and the Hazlet Seniors.

Julia was predeceased by her three husbands, John Mazuroski, Russell Confroy and Eugene Clark; her two children, John Mazuroski and Barbara Batten; her brothers, George, Steven, Edward and Albert Kapushy; and her loving dog Punkin.  She is survived by eight stepchildren, 20 step-grandchildren, 19 step-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends; especially her caregivers, Eva Ondruskova and her niece, Janice Kapushy Tonks.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, December 3, 2017, from 3-7PM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735; and Monday, December 4, 2017, 9:15AM, at funeral home, with a 10AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph RC Church, Keyport.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Keyport.  To post a condolence to the family or obtain directions to the funeral home, please visit the website www.dayfuneralhome.com.
