Joseph J Farley

Joseph J. Farley, 78, of Cliffwood Beach/Old Bridge Township, passed away, Friday, December 8, 2017, at his daughter’s home in Toms River.  He was born in Brooklyn, NY.  He was employed as a plumber with the Plumbers Pipefitters Union, Local 24 Welfare for 45 years before retiring.  He served his country in the U.S. Army during peacetime.  Joseph was a member of the South Amboy Boat Club. 

Joseph was predeceased by his 1st wife, Eileen Mulrain Farley; and his 2nd wife, Beverly Farkas “Eskew,” and his parents, Joseph J. and Emma (Westcott) Farley.  He is survived by two loving daughters, Denice Gfroehrer and her husband Rob of Toms River; and Deborah Knesel and her husband Mark of Cliffwood Beach; three brothers, James of Old Bridge; Robert and Rich of Cliffwood Beach; three cherished grandchildren, Laura and Jesse Farley, both of Cliffwood Beach; and Anthony Gfroehrer of Toms River; and a precious great grandson, Ethan School.  He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.

At the direction of family, Joseph was privately cremated.  A Memorial Mass will take place on  Friday, December 13, 2017, 9:30AM at St. Joseph RC Church, 376 Maple Place, Keyport.  Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735, was entrusted with the funeral arrangements.  You may post a condolence to the family at the funeral home website www.dayfuneralhome.com.
