Jeffrey J. Zalepka

Jeffrey J. Zalepka, 72, of Hazlet,  passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Bayshore Health Care Center. He was born in Hillside New Jersey, moving to Laurence Harbor then settling in Hazlet.  He was a chemical engineer with I.F.F. in Union Beach. He served in the U.S. Army during peacetime. He was a member of Knights of Columbus at St. Lawrence Council.

Jeffrey is predeceased by his beloved wife Carol; his parents John and Clara (Herre) Zalepka and his sister Debbie Zalepka.

 He is survived by Terry Croce of Hazlet; his children, Vance and his wife Lauren of Tinton Falls, Michelle Cohen and her husband Jeff of Mount Laurel, Colleen Kaliakmanis and her husband Alex of Antioch, Illinois, Gina Salstead and her husband William, Charlie Croce and his wife Dianne and his siblings, Charlie Murphy, Nick, John, Marty, Sharon Gayla, Joseph, and Janice Geant.

 He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren; Dani, Amanda, Dino, Athan, Amerissa, Andreas, Charleane, Greg, Gabrielle, Charlie, Billy, and Kimberly; and one precious great-grandson, Lucca.

Visitation will be Monday, May 7, 2018, from 2-4 & 7-9PM, at Day Funeral Home 361 Maple Place in Keyport, NJ 07735; and Tuesday May 8, 2018 at 9AM at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial  at  10AM at St. Benedicts RC Church, in Holmdel.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Keyport.
