James W. Thompson (“Jim”) age 66, of Howell, passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 surrounded by his family. Jim was born in Point Pleasant, before moving to Spring Lake, where he grew up. He has lived in Howell for the past 19 years with his family. Jim was a simple guy, who enjoyed the little things in life. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and politics. He spent most of his time relaxing with his two loving daughters, Maria and Victoria. In his early career, Jim owned a shoe store before becoming an EMT. His big Sunday breakfast, and his holiday traditions will be fondly remembered. Jim’s sense of humor and easy-going, kind spirit will be dearly missed.
He is predeceased by his parents, James Bruce and Clara (Wilson) Thompson; and he is survived by his beloved wife of 24 years, Ann (DiGennaro) Thompson; his two daughters, Maria and Victoria Thompson; his Aunt, Dorothy Musgrave; his sister Melissa and her husband James Aldridge of Buffalo NY; his brother Tracy and his wife Robin Thompson of Oakhurst; his brother-in-law Nicholas DiGennaro; his nieces and nephews; and the family pup Hollie. Jim will never be forgotten by all those who knew him.
Relatives and friends are invited for visitation on Monday, June 18, 2018 from 3-7PM and Tuesday, June 19, 2018 from 9:30AM with a 10:30AM service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Atlantic View Cemetery, Manasquan.
