Jaime Cruz, 78, of Aberdeen, passed away, Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Portugal, he moved to Newark in 1955 and settled in Aberdeen 40 years ago. He worked as an electrician with Anchor Glass, Cliffwood prior to retiring.
Jaime was predeceased by his parents, Jacinto and Julieta (DeSousa) Cruz; and his siblings. He is survived by his beloved wife, Margaret (Nungesser) Cruz; and his loving children, Gerard Cruz, Caroline Van Wagner, Anthony Cruz, Catherine Smith, Maryann Zikmand and Joanne Neary; and eight cherished grandchildren. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.
Visitation will take place on Friday, January 5, 2018, from 7-9PM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ 07735; and Saturday, January 6, 2018, 9:30AM, with a 10AM Funeral Service at the funeral home.
