Helen C. Mullen

 Helen C. Mullen, 78, of Matawan, NJ passed away  peacefully surrounded by her family Friday, October 4th, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel.
Helen was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 23, 1941, a daughter of the late Helen (Kane) and Eugene Mullen. From Brooklyn, NY she moved to Cliffwood Beach in 1967 and then Matawan 13 years ago. She was employed as an Office Manager at Saks Fifth Avenue Lawrenceville, NJ for many years. She enjoyed trips to Atlantic City with her sisters.
Helen is survived by her loving children; Joan and her husband Charles Rakita; Eugene and Tracey Blascak; Michael and Lori Blascak; Lisa and Rich Olivier; Laura Blascak and Jennifer and Victor Branco. She also leaves behind her cherished brother John Murtha and sisters; Irene Bolster and Mary Coyle and 15 devoted grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Helen is predeceased by her brother Eugene Mullen.
Visitation for Helen will be Thursday 4-8 pm at Day Funeral Home and again Friday morning at 10 am. A funeral service will be held Friday morning 11am at the Day Funeral Home. Interment will be at Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet.
