Helen P. "Chickie" Krause, 73, of Matawan, passed away Friday, December 21, 2018 at Riverview Medical Center of Red Bank. She was born in Manhattan, New York, grew up in Keansburg, and she was a High School Graduate.
Helen spent her career as a Certified Nurses Aid working for several different hospice organizations throughout New Jersey, retiring in 2007. "Chickie", as she was affectionately known, was married to her husband of 40 Years, Robert Krause, on January 2, 1979.
She was predeceased by her parents Philip Sabelli and Helen (Ray) Sabelli and a brother Francis Sabelli. She is survived by her beloved husband Robert C. Krause; two sons Robert Bizzoro and his wife Linda of Anthony, New Mexico; Joey Flood and his wife Andrea of Hammonton; daughter Robyn Flood also of Hammonton; and a sister Mary Murray and her husband John. Chickie is also survived by her grandchildren: Bryan, Justin, Kelsie; and several nieces and nephews.
Helen and her husband Robert were compassionate attendees of Monmouth Park Racetrack in Oceanport and formerly members of the Monmouth Beach Club in Monmouth Beach. Helen was also an avid supporter of the Disabled American Veterans Association of America.
She also loved vacation, making her favorite trips as Niagra Falls in New York and visiting Quebec, Canada. Every year Robert would take "Chickie" into New York City at Christmas, to see and experience the beauty of Rockerfeller Center, St. Patrick's Cathedral, and visit a great restaurant. Helen will be dearly remembered, and always in our hearts.
Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation for Helen on Monday December 24, 2018 from 10 AM to 12 PM at the funeral home, during which time a funeral service will be offered at 11:30 AM.
