Grace E. “Betty” (Dick) Moran, 88, of Hazlet, passed away, Thursday, January 4, 2018, at home.  Born in Hillside, she resided in West Orange prior to settling in Hazlet 59 years ago.  She retired in 1990, after over 30 years, as a senior secretary with Bell Labs, Holmdel.  She was a member and former warden of Trinity Episcopal Church, Matawan; and a member of Hazlet Seniors.  She loved to exercise and do yoga.  She also cherished her time at the beach with her grandchildren.

 

Betty was predeceased by her beloved husband, Daniel Moran, in 2000; and her parents, Stanley and Grace (Whitehouse) Dick.  She is survived by her two loving children, Judith Lynn Ramsey and her husband Henry of Holmdel and Daniel S. Moran and his wife Patrice of Las Vegas, NV; and her seven cherished grandchildren, Jeffrey Cody and his wife Kelly of Bayonne; Lauren Cody of Dallas, TX; Cory Carlon and his wife Tahnee of Las Vegas, NV; Christine Ramsey Wade and her husband Julian of Bristol, England; Stu Ramsey of Bejing, China; Sadie Ramsey of Mesa, AZ; and Steven Ramsey of New York; and a precious great grandson, Ayden Carlon.  She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.

 

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, from 2-4 & 7-9PM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735; and Thursday, January 11, 2018, a 10AM service at the Trinity Episcopal Church, Matawan, 18 Ryders Lane, Matawan, NJ  07747.  Entombment will follow at Fair View Cemetery & Mausoleum, Middletown.  To post a condolence to the family or for directions to the funeral home, please visit www.dayfuneralhome.com.
