George T. Zweidinger Sr. 71, of Keyport NJ passed away on Sunday May 27, 2018 at Riverview Medical Center with his family by his side. George was born in Brooklyn to Valentine and Mary nee Jacobs Zweidinger, and has been a life long resident of Cliffwood and Keyport, NJ. He was a truck driver for Garden State Tile in Dayton, NJ for many years. George was very proud of his Native American Mohawk heritage, loved playing golf, bingo and going to the movies with his daughter Carolyn. His passion was his grandchildren whom he loved to spend his time with.
George is predeceased by his parents, brothers James and Fred, and his son George Jr. He is survived by his loving wife Joyce nee Andrews Zweidinger, his devoted daughter Carolyn Ross, and cherished grandchildren Brandon, Tyler, Jake, Alexis and Makenzie. Also surviving are his sisters Margaret Eads, Mary Van Glahn, Georgette Jacobs, Jackie Fayard and brothers Thomas, Charles and Joseph.
Visitation will be held Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Day Funeral Home 361 Maple Place, Keyport NJ 07735. A final visitation will be held Saturday morning 8:30am at the funeral home followed by a 9 :30 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph’s RCC, Keyport. As per the wishes of George he will be cremated. In lieu of flowers donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
