Frederick H. Zoll

Frederick H. Zoll, 89, of Matawan, passed away, Sunday, November 26, 2017, at home.  Born in Brooklyn, he resided  there prior to moving to South Amboy/Parlin area and then settling in Matawan 54 years ago.  He worked as a maintenance supervisor with Jefferson Smurfit Container Corp., Matawan, prior to retiring.  He served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

Frederick was predeceased by his beloved wife, Susan M. Zoll; his daughter, Katherine Zoll; and his parents, Frederick H. and Dorothy (Cox) Zoll.  He is survived by his loving children, James Zoll and his wife Susan of Flanders; and Carolyn Craig and her husband Thomas of Helmetta; his twin sisters, Jean Chubway of Woodbridge and Joan Travisano and her husband Ranerio of South Amboy; and four cherished grandchildren, Stephanie and Robert Tucker and Timothy and Kevin Zoll.  He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, from 9-11AM, with an 11AM service officiated by Frederick’s son-in-law, the Rev.
