Frances Barbara "Penny" Lach Miltner died Friday, October 23, 2009 at home, with her family at her side. She was 82. Born in Tower City II, PA, the youngest daughter in a family of 14, she resided in Matawan for over 20 years, Lakewood and Omaha, Nebraska before moving to Yulee two years ago. Prior to her retirement, she was a bookkeeper for House of Prill in Perth Amboy for several years. She had also worked as a bookkeeper for the Sisters of the Good Shepherd in Wickatunk for many years. She was a former communicant of St. Benedict RC Church, Holmdel. "During her life, she spread good cheer and faith in heaven above; hers was a genuinely caring soul and her kind presence will be forever in our hearts," said a family member. Predeceased by her husband, Theodore in 1998, she is survived by her children, Cathie and her husband Mike McKinnon of Yulee, FL, Mark Miltner and his wife Frauke of West Orange, and Barry Miltner of Brigantine; and five grandchildren, Roger Anthony, Kacey, Mandi, Sean and Skye; her neice Anna Marie Meshinsky, brother-in-law Ed Miltner, sister-in-law Rosemarie Glodowski, and countless neices, nephews and grand-neices and nephews from the Lach and Miltner families. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 AM in the Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, followed by a 10:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Benedict Church, Holmdel. Interment will follow at Forest Green Park Cemetery, Marlboro. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
