Elizabeth R. Cook, 90, life long resident of Keyport, passed away December 31, 2019 at home, peacefully. Many people knew Elizabeth as Betty, but most by Nan. Everyone on Betty's block could always count on a wave or simple conversation as they walked by her house. Betty loved to cook and bake it was one of the many things she wanted to be remembered by. Betty also loved to go on trips, dance, food shop, fill out crossword puzzles or drink her daily coffee on her sun porch with her two cats watching the neighborhood. Betty is pre deceased by husband Frank Cook, daughters Eileen Schachtel and Arlene Foley. Betty is survived by her loving Grandchildren; Samuel Dilks, Heather Schachtel and Ashley Schactel and their significant others Phil O'Brien and Adam Richmond, Granddaughter Jennifer Street and Great Grandson, Philip O'Brien Jr and her son in law Larry Schachtel Betty will be missed by all that knew her.
Relatives and friends are invited, Sunday, January 5, 2020 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and again Monday, January 6, 2020, 10 AM for visitation at the funeral home. A Graveside service will be offered Monday, 11 AM at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Keyport.
