Elaine Short Obituary

Elaine (Durkin) Short, 72, of Matawan, passed away, Thursday, August 23, 2018, at Riverview Medical Center. She was born in Newark, resided in Belleville, NJ before settling in Matawan. She was a member of the St. Clements Holy Rosary Society and was an avid quilter with her quilting club.
Elaine was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Gertrude (Kraft) Durkin. She is survived by her beloved husband, Edward F. Short Sr., loving children, Edward F. Short Jr. of Matawan, Jennifer M. Benson and her husband Jim of Port Reading, Robert Short of Matawan and Susan E. Short of Old Bridge; 4 adoring grandchildren, Sage, Akilah, Danny and Vanessa; dear siblings Ann Durkin of Bloomfield and Paul Durkin of Arizona. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
Elaine has requested no services be done.
