Diane E. Florentine, age 80, of Aberdeen, NJ, peacefully passed away, surrounded by her loving family of seven children & twelve grandchildren, on November 2nd. She was born on February 3, 1938 to Daniel Sr. & Maxine Gentile in Bronx, NY. Diane moved from New York to Old Bridge, NJ in 1967 and later to Aberdeen, NJ in 1982. She was a homemaker, bookkeeper, Home Health Aide and devote Catholic. She now rejoins her beloved husband, Joseph Florentine Sr. in eternal rest.
She is predeceased by her parents, husband, mother in law Kathryn Amodeo, brother Donald Gentile, and son in law Michael McMahon. She is survived by brother, Daniel Gentile Jr. and his wife Regina of Interlaken, sister Maxine Jordan of Arkansas, seven loving children, son, Joseph Florentine II & his wife Frances, son, Robert Florentine & Barbara Florentine, daughter, Dianne Zirkel & husband George, son, James Florentine, daughter Linda Beer and husband Bruce, daughter, Kathryn Florentine, son, Daniel Florentine and wife Patricia, grandson Thomas McMahon, wife Yari and future great granddaughter, Jupiter Marie; grandsons Joseph Florentine III, Joseph Zirkel, George Zirkel, Michael Florentine, Daniel Florentine Jr, & Luke Florentine, granddaughters, Erica Florentine, Lia Florentine, Paula Beer, Jena Beer and Elyse Florentine, all of the Middlesex and Monmouth County NJ region. She is also survived by extended family from across the country.
Diane will be dearly missed by her loving family & friends. She was the kindest and strongest woman they have ever known. Diane requested Mass Cards, (which are available for purchase through the funeral home), in lieu of flowers.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Sunday, November 4, 2018 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, 07735, Keyport. NJ.
Everyone can meet at Church the following day on Monday, November 5, 2018 for a 10AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Clement Church, Matawan, NJ www.stclementmatawan.org .
