Denise Straniero (Paliwoda) passed away at home after a 12 year battle with melanoma with her husband of 40 years at her side. She was born in Newark, NJ, raised in West Keansburg, and lived her married life in Cliffwood. She was employed in retail until the birth of her children at which time she devoted her life to her family. She enjoyed hunting for treasures at flea markets, spending time with her grand babies, going on weekend adventures with her family and celebrating her favorite holiday (Halloween). She was a happy, fun-loving person and will be missed by all. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Arlene Paliwoda; brothers, Geoffery paliwoda and Brian Paliwoda. She is survived by her husband George, Daughter Lisa Straniero (Peter) of Cliffwood Beach, son Christopher Straniero (Casey) and grandchildren Joseph and Ava of South Amboy.
Visitation will be held Tuesday February 13, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Day Funeral Home 361 Maple Place Keyport, NJ 07735. Relatives and Friends may gather Wednesday morning at 9am at the funeral home followed by a 10am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph’s RCC, Keyport.
