Blanca E. (Lopez) Marrero

Blanca E. (Lopez) Marrero, 85, of Matawan, passed away, Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at her grandson’s home surrounded by her family.  She was born in Puerto Rico to the late Sebastian and Elisa (Arroyo) Lopez.  She was a homemaker, who kept a tidy home, loved to cook and loved to drink coffee.   She was the matriarch of the family, but a dedicated and loving wife and mother. She was strong willed but loved everyone equally and not a bad bone in her body.

Blanca was predeceased by a son, Wilfredo Marrero; and a brother, William Lopez.  She is survived by her beloved husband, Carlos Marrero; her loving children, Blanca Marrero of Matawan and Geraldo Marrero and wife Lena of Mulberry, FL; dear siblings, Bravlio, Edwin, Berania and Henia Lopez; ten cherished grandchildren, William Ramos, Carlos and Priamo Perez, Jasmin, Jessica and Juliana Marrero and Nancy, Claribel, Claribel and Javier Marrero; and five great grandchildren, Xavier, Leo, Priamo, Mason and Carlos.  She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.

Visitation will take place on Friday, March 30, 2018, from 5-9PM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735.  Cremation will be private.  You may post a condolence to the family or obtain directions to the funeral home through the website www.dayfuneralhome.com.
