Benjamin Brancato, 86, of Tinton Falls, passed away Saturday July 7, 2018 at Riverview Medical Center of Red Bank.
Benjamin was born and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War Conflict.
He received his Masters of Education from New York University and would come to be a long-serving Physical Education Teacher for the Union Hill High School of Union Hill, New Jersey where he worked for 35 years.
During Benjamin's retirement he would also serve as a Baseball Coach for Saint Peter's College in Jersey City, for ten years.
He was known to play the lottery on a regular basis, a handyman around the house which inspired his son Mark to go into construction as a career, loved baseball and working at St. Peters College as Baseball Coach, raising his family and being content with home life, as well as being a devoted Grandfather.
He was predeceased by his parents Salvatore Brancato and Leticia (Marino) Brancato; his wife Carol Brancato (Sisto) ; two brothers Salvatore and Gerard Brancato and two sisters Josephine Scarpa and Rosalie Lobello.
He is survived by his loving children Benjamin Brancato and his companion Kathleen oats of Old Bridge, Mark Brancato and his fiancé Antonella Loscrudato of Freehold, Joseph Brancato and his wife Betania of Nazareth, Pennsylvania and three beloved grandchildren Kyle, Tyler and Daniella.
As per the request of Benjamin's wishes, all services will be held at the funeral home.
Friends and relative are invited to a visitation for Benjamin on Saturday July 14, 2018 at Day Funeral Home 361 Maple Place Keyport, New Jersey from 1PM to 5PM with a service at the funeral home at 4PM.
