Assunta "Sadie" J. (Cicalese) Speziale

Assunta “Sadie” J. (Cicalese) Speziale, 104, of Hazlet, passed away, Friday, June 9, 2017, at home peacefully surrounded by family.  Born in Newark, she resided there prior to settling in Hazlet.  She was a homemaker.

Sadie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph Speziale in 1988; her parents, Alfonso and Carmela (Palumbo) Cicalese; and her siblings, Tony, Patsy, Domenic, Jimmy and Al.  She is survived by her two loving daughters, Beatrice Speziale and Marie Accardo and her husband Philip.  She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 13, 2017, from 4-8PM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735; and Wednesday, June 14, 2017, 8:15AM, at the funeral home, with a 9AM  Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church, Keyport.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VNA Health Group, 23 Main St., Suite D1, Holmdel, NJ  07733, in memory of Sadie.   To post a condolence to the family or for directions to the funeral home, please visit www.dayfuneralhome.com.
