Anne M. (Clemente) Ruggiero

Anne M. Ruggiero, 91, of Manchester, passed away, Friday, March 03, 2017, at Kingway Nursing Home, Schenectady, NY. Born in Manhattan, NY, she grew up in Brooklyn before moving with her family to Hazlet, NJ. She retired with her husband, Nicholas Ruggiero to Seabrook Island, South Carolina before returning to New Jersey and settling in Manchester. Prior to retiring, she worked in the accounting department with Bell Laboratories in Holmdel where she developed many friendships which she treasured long past retirement.

Anne was predeceased by her beloved husband, Nicholas E. Ruggiero, her daughter, Jeanne Alessandro, and her parents, Joseph and Constance (DeLellis) Clemente. She is survived by her son, Robert Ruggiero and her daughter, Mary Ruggiero-Garbrecht. She was the loving "Nani" of seven cherished grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Anne was known for her generous spirit and compassion. She maintained an ongoing support of many charities throughout her lifetime. Memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warriors Family Support (http://www.wwfs.org/) or Doctors Without Borders USA (http://www.doctorswithoutborders.org)

At the direction of Anne’s wishes, she was privately cremated. A Memorial Mass will take place on Thursday, March 9, 2017, 10AM at St. Joseph RC Church, 376 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ 07735. After the Funeral Mass, burial of cremains at the family plot will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Keyport.
