Amanda Ahlert Obituary

Amanda Lynn (Cokelet) Ahlert 39, of Hazlet, entered into eternal life on Wednesday January 2, 2019 surrounded by her loving family and friends. She passed away due to complications from Cysytic Fibrosis. Amanda was born in Red Bank and lived her entire life in Hazlet.

Amanda graduated from Raritan High School in 1997 and she also attended Brookdale Community College and Citone Business School. She was employed at Pathmark of Hazlet and the billing department at the Heart Center of Hazlet. Amanda's favorite place to vacation with her family for the past 19 years was Lake George. She enjoyed watching her nieces play sports and was involved as a assistant soccer coach for HYSA and a basketball coach for HYAL. She was a member of the Hazlet Fire Company #1 Ladies Auxillary, a dedicated volunteer for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Castle of Dreams Animal Rescue. Amanda was an inspiration to all who knew her. The courage and strength she upheld showed what an amazing and loving woman she was to everyone.

Amanda was a loving Aunt to her beautiful nieces Taylor and Madison of Hazlet, who she raised as her own after her sister Melissa passed away in 2012. She is survived by her parents Charles and Maureen Cokelet of Hazlet and her ex-husband Joseph Ahlert of Union Beach. She was predeceased by her loving sister Melissa Brown, cousin Kerri Maddock, her maternal grandparents William and Janet Rush and her paternal grandparents Charles and Ann Cokelet. Amanda will hold a special place in the hearts of all her loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends. With all our love to our angel who will always be "The Wind Beneath Our Wings".
