Agnes (Miller) Galbraith, 102, of Hazlet, passed away, Monday, March 19, 2018, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. She was born in Woodhaven Queens, NY. She was a homemaker along with working for Hallmark, Administrative Assistant at Bell Laboratories, Runnells Hospital, and College of St. Elizabeth. Agnes who enjoyed gardening, reading, crosswords puzzles, word search, knitting, hooking rugs, and always enjoyed a chuckle at the sight of people falling down.
Agnes was predeceased by her parents William and Mary(Crane)Miller; her beloved husband, James Galbraith Sr.;a dear brother, William T. Miller; daughter-in-laws, Noel Galbraith, Kathy Galbraith and a son-in-law, Jack Macken. She is survived by her loving children, James Galbraith Jr. of Maryland, Thomas Galbraith and wife Eddy of California; Maryann Macken of Hazlet; Dennis Galbraith and wife Ann of Princeton Junction; Margaret Brown and husband David of Charlotte, NC; and Joan Valerio and husband Dan of Ohio; 15 grandchildren, Tommy, Annmarie, Maureen, John, Janine, Brian, Sarah, Allison, Chrissy, Sean, Kerry, Brian, James III, Caroline, Megan; 23 cherished great grandchildren; and four adored great great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her family.
There are no calling hours at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018, 10AM, at the St. Vincent de Paul Church, 250 Bebout Ave., Stirling, NJ 07980, with interment to follow at the church cemetery.
